Many families in Tennessee are being squeezed by rising out of pocket health care costs. Hakeem believes that workers should share in slower growth of state health care spending through lower costs.
Prescription drug spending has accelerated from 2.5 percent in 2013 to 12.6 percent in 2014. Hakeem believes we need to lower drug cost for hardworking families and seniors of Tennessee.
Hakeem will work to ensure that all women in the state of
Tennessee have access to preventive care, and affordable
contraception.
As part of his health care agenda, Hakeem will fight for increasing the funding for primary care services at community health centers in the state of Tennessee.
